MARKET Analyst/Planner - Entry-level
RKG Associates seeks a new team member for our Boston, MA office who has a passion for understanding and communicating the connections between economics, housing, real estate, and planning, and how those affect the communities we work in. Our work spans both the public and private sector and involves a combination of intensive data research and analysis, written and graphic communication, client interaction, and a focus on practical near-term solutions for our clients. As a leading national consulting firm, we work throughout the United States with clients ranging from small towns to major metropolitan cities, regions, and states to private developers and property owners.
We seek a Data Analyst/Planner with strong analytical skills who can leverage data, analytics, and visualizations to tell our client’s stories. The ideal applicant is organized, innovative, and creative, and enjoys working closely with a small team. Specifically, we are seeking candidates with experience in urban and regional planning, economic development, and housing with a focus on and passion for economic development, market analytics, and planning. A degree in urban planning, economics, or data analytics plus 1-3 years of experience is preferred but not required.
Applicants must have excellent writing skills and experience using ArcGIS, R, or other data and visualization packages is considered a plus. The candidate chosen for this position should have a desire to learn and/or experience with some of following project areas including:
Economic Development and Resiliency Strategies & Plans,
Housing Plans & Affordable Housing Strategies,
Community Planning & Urban and Neighborhood Revitalization Strategies,
Market Analytics & Development Feasibility Studies, and
Economic & Fiscal Impact Analysis.
